Community funding for community ideas

Micro-Grants

The AVCA Micro-Grant Revolving Fund supports residents and community groups who want to make Alta Vista a better place. If you've got a project or event idea — big or small — we have funding and board support to help make it real.

You don't need to be an AVCA member to apply. You just need to live in Alta Vista and have an idea worth backing.

What we Support

  • Community events open to Alta Vista residents

  • Neighbourhood improvement projects

  • Programming for families, seniors, or youth

  • Environmental and greenspace initiatives

  • Initiatives that bring neighbours together

We fund projects and events that make Alta Vista a better place to live — here are some examples:

What you get

  • Financial support to cover project or event costs

  • Hands-on guidance from the AVCA board

  • Promotion through AVCA's communications channels

  • A community that shows up for good ideas

Who can apply

Any Alta Vista resident or community group with a project that benefits the neighbourhood. No formal experience required — just a genuine idea and a willingness to make it happen.

Ready to apply? It starts with a conversation.

There's no complicated application form — just reach out with a brief description of your idea and we'll take it from there. Not sure if your idea qualifies? Reach out anyway. The worst we can say is not yet — and we might surprise you. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within two weeks.
