The Alta Vista Community Association (AVCA) is thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual Canada Day Fireworks Celebration at Lynda Lane Park (580 Smyth Road)!
This year, we are cranking up the fun with an entire afternoon and evening of family-friendly activities leading up to our biggest finale yet. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to celebrate together!
⏰ Schedule of Events
3:00 PM – Food trucks arrive onsite to serve up delicious eats.
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Pre-show festivities, including lawn games, family activities, face painting, music, and no-contact, age-group children's soccer games. You can also meet with local community representatives.
10:00 PM – 10:30 PM – Our most spectacular fireworks show yet begins at dusk!
📋 Know Before You Go
To make sure everyone has a safe and fantastic time, please keep the following tips in mind:
Travel & Parking: Parking is very limited at the park. We highly encourage everyone to walk, bike, take the bus, or carpool with friends.
Battle the Bugs: The mosquitoes were tough last year, so bug spray is a must! We will have a limited supply available for sale if you forget yours, but it is best to bring your own.
What to Pack: Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the pre-show. Don't forget to pack plenty of water and sunscreen for the afternoon!
Amenities & Safety: Restrooms will be available near the cricket field. For peace of mind, EMTs will be stationed onsite for any medical assistance if needed.
